When will my order ship?

Orders ship within 2-3 business days. We ship USPS Priority and most orders will arrive within 3 mail days of shipment. If you need your order faster, please contact us directly at orders@southerncaramel.com or (321) 704-9253 and we can expedite shipping.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship to all 50 states in the US.

Do you ship in the summer?

Yes, we ship 12 months out of the year.

Will I pay more for cold packs in the summer?

No, we do not need to include cold packs and there will be no “warm weather” upcharge. We recommend you allow your caramel to rest in a cool environment for a few hours during warm weather delivery times.

How should I store my caramels?

We recommend you store your caramels in a cool environment. Caramels do not need to be refrigerated, although doing so will extend the life of your caramel for several months. We don’t think it will last that long though😉

Your caramel sauce can be refrigerated after opening and we recommend that you do so if you wish to enjoy past a few days of opening.

What is the shelf life of your caramels?

Our caramels are best when enjoyed within 4 months. Each package is marked with a best by date. Eating your caramel past this date is not harmful, but it will lose some of its quality and freshness. You can extend the life of your caramels by refrigerating for a few months or placing in the freezer for up to a year.

How many pieces are in a pound?

All packages are by weight and we cannot guarantee an exact piece count. Having said that, the average pound has about 70 pieces of caramel.

What are the ingredients in your caramel?

Each recipe has a base of cane sugar, cream, and butter. We do add natural flavors such as real coffee or lime to our caramel.

Do you have a dairy-free caramel?

We do not at this time. We are currently developing a vegan caramel recipe, and will release when we feel we have perfected it.

Do you have a sugar-free caramel?

We do not at this time.

Are your caramels gluten-free?

Yes, all of our caramels are naturally gluten free.

There is a clear liquid at the bottom of my caramel sauce. Is that ok?

Yes, separation may occur in your caramel sauce. This is perfectly normal, and we recommend that you stir the contents of the jar before each use. A shorter ingredient list, makes for a more natural caramel sauce.

What is your return policy?

Unfortunately, we cannot accept any returns of our product. However, if for whatever reason your order arrives damaged or defective, we will gladly replace the damaged items at our expense.
